
New educational project on Jewish heritage in Spain
"Benjamin de Sefarad" strives to increase the knowledge of the Jewish Sephardic legacy among schoolchildren.
The Network of Spanish Jewish Quarters has developed a new educational project addressed to the pupils of 2nd grade of Secondary school. They are being acquainted with the Jewish Sephardic legacy of their hometowns and then they are to develop different projects on this subject.
The first experience has been carried out during 7 months in the city of Girona, and has been a huge success. Other cities, such as Besalú, Castelló d'Empúries and Jaén are following.
