
2nd ERENSYA Summit in Turkey
From June 3rd to 7th, Istanbul and Izmir are the venues for the second encounter of Sephardic communities from all over the world
The ERENSYA platform has been founded by Centro Sefarad-Israel in order to establish and strengthen the bonds between Spain and the Sephardic communities spread all over the world. Individual projects of this platform deal with culture, coexistence and academic issues in order to promote a wide-spread knowledge of the Sephardic culture.
At this second summit – the first having been held in Bulgaria two years ago-, representatives of the main Sephardic communities will present their initiatives in these fields.
The meeting is organised in cooperation with the Spanish Consulate in Istanbul, the Cervantes Institute in Istanbul, the Sephardic Centre Istanbul, the Sephardic Cultural Association of Izmir, the City Council of Izmir, the Jewish community of Izmir, the Spanish Embassy in Turkey, the Three Cultures Foundation, and the Network of Spanish Jewish Quarters, a founding member of the AEPJ.
