International Holocaust Remembrance Day in the Palace of the Generalitat of Catalonia. Barcelona, Spain

Palau de la Generalitat. January 30th, 2017

The Catalan Government had also commemorated the International Holocaust Remembrance Day in the Generalitat Palace, in Barcelona. The ceremony, leaded by the Catalan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Institutional Relations and Transparency, Mr. Raul Romeva, has counted on the participation of political representatives of the Barcelona City Council and with interventions of Mrs. Rosa Sala, writer; Mrs. Rosa Toran, historian and ex-president of the Catalan Friend’s Association of Mathausen and the testimony of Dr. Anna Bando, Righteous Among Nations.

Mr. Romeva stated that we “need to do social pedagogy, and let everybody know what had been the Holocaust, as a reminder of the victims”.
