Online resources for enjoying European Jewish heritage from home

A repository aimed for those people who are interested in Jewish European heritage.

These weeks in Europe and the world we are going through a situation where many citizens are under confinement in their homes. There are hundreds of platforms that offer entertainment and online training of all kinds and colours, and from the AEPJ we want to contribute to those people who enjoy sharing European cultural diversity, to do so from their homes. That is why we make available to the public a very complete directory of resources that our associate members and collaborators offer online and free on the web.

Medieval Route of Rashi in Champagne - France

In the heart of the Aube, the former county of Champagne counted prestigious Jewish communities from the 11th to the 13th centuries. Rachi, Rabbi Solomon son of Isaac, an immense commentator on the sacred texts of Judaism, was born there in Troyes in 1040. He gave an unexpected impulse to the intellectual creativity of the Jews of Champagne. After him, many scholars who claimed to be from his Champagne school influenced other Jewish communities in the interpretation of the Bible and the Talmud. The name of the illustrious county of Champagne then spread throughout the West. Discover the exceptional history that has united the Jewish community to the County of Champagne and the Aube for many centuries...
